Hi there and welcome to my very first blog post. Let me tell introduce myself; My name is Laceye (in case you didn't know) and I'm the owner of Songbird Bakery. I'm also a wife and have been married to my high school sweetheart since 2010. I'm a momma to one super-sweet little boy. I'm a reader and lover of mysteries, a crafter, a coffee junkie, a holiday lover (Halloween and Christmas are my favorites), a Christian, a hat addict (I have more than 30 different hats, and counting), and of course, I'm a baker.
I started baking as a little girl with my mom, but majorly added to my skill set through the years. I actually wanted to be a storm chaser (can you imagine!?), but that eventually changed to an event planner, which I did for several years before becoming a baker. Songbird Bakery officially took form in 2014.
Why am I starting this blog?
I can't honestly say that I'm much of a writer. Mostly I just wanted a place to ramble and share some recipes with you. To lend you some of my wisdom and maybe share a few secret family recipes.
The end is nigh.
